CITY OF VERNON STORMWATER INFRASTRUCTURE PIEVC ASSESSMENT REPORT

In 2018, the City of Vernon engaged Urban Systems to complete a Drainage Infrastructure Prioritization Project (DIPP). The objective of this work is to prioritize investments and set sustainable levels of service for storm drainage. Subsequent to the initiation of this project, the City secured additional funds for a climate change vulnerability assessment of its stormwater management infrastructure. Noting that more severe rainstorms and freshet flows have already occurred, with varying impacts to its existing drainage infrastructure, the City recognized that a changing climate could have further and even more significant impacts.
