The Forest Lawn Multiplex is proposed to replace several community services and recreation amenities distributed throughout the Forest Lawn Neighbourhood in a central location. The Forest Lawn Multiplex will improve the quality and accessibility of a wide range of community services in a diverse and traditionally underserved neighbourhood. As the project is early in the planning phase, WSP was commissioned by the City of Calgary to complete a Climate Change Resilience Assessment to consider resilience through the long-term life span of the proposed infrastructure.

The resilience assessment is a risk-management approach to understand the likelihood and consequence of how future climate change events may affect infrastructure components. This assessment used the City of Calgary’s Capital Infrastructure Climate Resilience Assessment methodology and this report details the relevant climate risks, infrastructure risks, and mitigation recommendations.
