PIEVC Assessment of Three City Parks: City of Mississauga
Risk Sciences International led the parks assessment of the overall City of Mississauga Climate Change Action Plan. Using the PIEVC Protocol, a climate change and severe weather risk assessment was conducted on all human-made and natural infrastructure within each of three City-selected parks. The assessment process and documentation yield a characterization and overview of the potential risks for other City park assets.
This study represents the first explicit application of the PIEVC Protocol to a city’s park assets in Canada, which presents both new challenges and opportunities for further expansion of the applications of the Protocol to new infrastructure asset categories.
